01. What’s included in the studio hire fee?

Your booking includes use of the fully equipped kitchen, which comes with essential large and small appliances (e.g. oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, blender, etc.) as well as basic prep tools like chopping boards and knives. You’ll also have access to natural lighting, two constant LED lights, and a dedicated kitchen assistant to support you throughout your shoot.

02. What does the kitchen assistant help with?

The assistant is available for the duration of your booking to help with basic food prep, general assistance on set, cleaning up during and after your shoot, and ensuring the studio is reset for your departure. Please note that this support is provided within reason and does not extend to performing specialist styling or photography tasks.

03. Is cookware included in the studio hire?

No. While small prep tools are included, cookware, serveware, dinnerware, and props form part of the optional props hire and must be booked separately. Our props room offers a beautiful and varied collection to choose from for an additional fee of R250 per shoot.

04. Can I bring my own props or cookware?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own props or cookware. Please ensure these are delivered and collected on the same day as your shoot unless otherwise arranged in advance.

05. Do you provide photography or videography services?

Studio hire does not include photography or videography services. However, if you’d like us to produce content for you, we do offer Recipe Shoots & Food Photography as an add-on service. This includes food styling, ingredients, and three high-quality edited images per recipe at R2,500 per recipe.

06. Is the studio soundproof?

The studio is quiet and suitable for most recording needs, but it is not fully soundproof. If audio is a key part of your shoot, we recommend doing a site visit to test the space beforehand.

07. Do you offer site visits?

Yes. Site visits are available by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is highly recommended if it’s your first time booking, or if you need to visualise the space before confirming.

08. What are the payment terms?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 24 hours before your shoot. Unconfirmed bookings may be released without notice.

09. What happens if I cancel my booking?

Cancellations within 48 hours of your shoot will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your shoot will be charged in full.

10. Is parking available at the studio?

Yes, parking is available inside Edstan Business Park. Please note that parking is at your own risk, and Taste Love Kitchen is not responsible for loss or damage to any vehicles or property.
